Hindustaan University

Location
Hindustan University is located at Padur about 22 kms, South of Chennai (Madras) on the Rajiv Gandhi Salai. It is situated amidst a lush green stretch of land, spread over 120 acres, extending from OMR to the silver sheen of Muttukadu lake. The atmosphere is conducive to a calm and peaceful academic pursuit. The college is well connected to the city by the public transport buses. Apart from this, the college operates its own fleet of buses for the convenience of the students and staff.

Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology (H.I.E.T)

Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology (H.I.E.T) was established in Chennai in 1966 in response to the need for non-formal technical education. Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology is run by the Hindustan Engineering Training centre (HETC) Educational society and registered as a Technical Education Society under the Societies Act, XXI Of 1860. The institution is approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India, for conducting Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course and by All India Counsel for Technical Education and the Government of Tamil Nadu for conducting Diploma courses in Automobile, Computer and Mechanical Engineering courses.

The Institution has trained engineers and technicians in many disciplines of Engineering. It is well equipped with workshops and laboratories. HIET is widely recognized in the Asian and African continents as a premier technical institution. Various Governments including the Government of Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and the Commonwealth Secretariat and several aviation organizations have sponsored students to undergo courses at HIET. HIET has trained over 36,000 engineers and technicians. Over 3,000 of them are in aviation, now working with various airlines and aviation industries in India and abroad.

Location

The main Administrative office is located at #40, G.S.T.Road, St.Thomas Mount, Chennai - 600 016. It is half a kilometer away from both the Guindy and St.Thomas Mount suburban railway stations and 10 kms from the central railway station. One can board electric trains from Egmore/Park railway station to get here. The Institute is 3 kms away from the Anna International and Domestic Airports.

Computing Facility

H.I.E.T has three computer labs with pentium 4, AMD Athlon and high speed internet broadband facility. The systems are upgraded with latest softwares for the academic purpose of the students. Special training and hardware classes are also given on request.

Laboratories & Workshops

There are five labs inside the campus. Chemistry, Physics, English laboratories are available for all the branches in the first year. Other labs include Strength of Materials lab and Fluid Mechanics lab. Separate facilities are available for different branches. Aircraft Maintainence and Aeronautical Engineering student will have Aircraft Electricity Labs, Engines Lab (Jet, Piston, I.C), Instruments lab including various testing equipment for calibration of various aircraft instruments, Dead Weight testers, Aircraft Instrument panels, Vacuum chambers, ATC-810 Flight simulator. Our Aircraft Engines lab include a wide variety of Jet engines such as Rolls Royce Avon Mark 100 Turbo jet, De Haviland Goblin Mark 3 Turbo jet engine, Pratt & Whitney JT 3D Turbo Fan engine. Automobile, Mechanical students will get Basic workshop lab, Foundry, Welding, Smithy, Fitting shop, Carpentry, sheet metal lab, Machine shop, Engines lab, Heat power and transmission lab and Auto Electrical labs. Diesel lab contains Diesel Fuel Injection Pump Servicing. Various engine models include cut-views and working models of different engines.

Holtel Accomodation

Hostel accommodation are available for boys. There are also hostels and lodging facilities available outside campus. Admission to these hostels and other lodging enquiries will be discussed at the time of admissions.

KCG Tech

KCG College of Technology (KC Tech) was established in 1998 and is affiliated to the Anna University and also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu. It is the latest addition to the Hindustan Group of Institutions. The vision of the College is " to develop KC Tech into an Institution of Excellence in Engineering Education at Graduate and Post Graduate level and to carry out quality research in Science, Engineering and Technology".

Academic core philosophy is rooted in the belief that education, beyond knowledge must point the way to self-fulfillment through the development of the entire personality. By optimizing their potential and providing them direction through a cohesive training program, the KC Tech team will empower each student to successfully confront and overcome the formidable competition that awaits them in the global market place.

Location

KC Tech is functioning in a sprawling campus of 50 acres, located at Karapakkam, 8 Kms away from Adyar, off the Old Mahabalipuram Road. The atmosphere is conducive to calm and peaceful academic pursuit. The college is well connected to the city by Public Transport buses. Apart from this, the College operates its own buses for the convenience of the students.

Facilities

Considering the urgency to inculcate indepth knowledge in computer technology, the college has made computer literacy ompulsory for its students.

Our center offers them easy access to the highly sophisticated facilities available here. The center is equipped with over 100 IBM machines and latest software packages like RDBMS, UNIX etc, two operating systems with window 2000, XP, pentium 4 processor, 512 mb, 80 GB hard disks constitute the configuration of the systems. The center facilitates high-speed Internet connection.

Orient Flight School

Orient Flight School is the aviation wing of the Hindustan Group of Institutions, a pioneering educational group at Chennai, offering a wide range of courses in Engineering, Management, Applied Sciences and Aviation. OFS was established at Pondicherry in 1994 and is approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India.

The flight training at OFS meets international standards, in accordance with regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. With the introduction of low cost airlines in the open skies of India and Asia region, there is an anticipated demand for over 2000 qualified pilots in the next five years. With the introduction of airplanes like Airbus A380, Boeing 737-800/900 and Airbus 319/320 by Air India Express, Kingfisher Airlines, Indian Airlines, Etihad Airlines, Air Asia, Air Arabia, Air Deccan and so on, there will be tremendous demand for Indian Pilots.

With the most modern fleet of aircrafts operated by Orient Flight School in its eleventh year of operations, we are poised to cater to the future of Aviation Industry in India. In Thirteen years of operations, OFS has trained hundreds of pilots, flown over 17,000 hrs, making over 32,000 landings, creating an excellent and impeccable training record. We have executed training programs for various non-scheduled and scheduled operators including Air Sahara and are proud to announce that several of our graduate pilots are flying for various airlines including Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, Alliance Air, Air Sahara, Air Deccan, Air India and several other organisations.
